My name is Caroline Richard Bach - and up until 2015 I was a showjumping and eventing rider through-and-through! However, in the autumn 2015 I had to give up eventing due to a serious injury sustained during a fall in May 2014. So now I'm focusing on my showjumping-career.
I've lived in Ireland for a couple of months in the end of 2010 - almost right after I came home from the European Championships in England. I lived and rode at Fernhill Sport Horses Centre in Kilkenny, which gave me the opportunity to optimize my riding on the big horses - because as we all know, there is quite a big difference from pony to horse.
In July 2011 I participated in the Nordic-Baltic Championships on my junior horse, Toftegårdens Carisma, who has done internationals for 5 years and is ready for 3*. Immediately after the Nordics I left for Portugal to train and ride at Herdade Vale Sabroso for some months. I was also there to be test rider for the European Junior Championships.
Back home in Denmark, we picked up my 3-year-old youngster Stærebogårds Ajour at the breeders end 2011 and he was broken-in January 2012. It has been so exciting to get started with this horse which I've had since he was a foal and in 2013 he was ready for his first eventing season iwhich he absolutely aced. Sadly we had to put him to sleep i August 2014 due to problems with his nervous system which proved to be incurable.
In February 2012 I was contacted by Tom Reed - the owner of Morningside Stud in Ireland - who offered me to take over the ride on the 8-year-old eventer Ziggy Marley M2S, which I offcourse gratefully accepted without hesitation!
I had been planning my next stay abroad for quite some time, and in March 2012 I moved all my stuff and horses to Sprockhövel near Dortmund in Germany where I trained with the German team rider Dirk Schrade's team of riders for 2 months. Dirk was on the Gold winning German team at the Olympics in London, so no need to emphasize how much I have learned from my stay there! I spent May and June 2012 in the stable of another German team rider, Kai-Steffen Meier (KSM Eventing), and then I went back to Denmark to finish my International Baccalaureate.
In the summer of 2013 World Wyde VDL from BPS Showjumpers joined my stable. i'm competing him in showjumping, and we're qualified for CSI-competitions. He is a huge talent and I'm learning so much from riding him!
In June 2014 I graduated from Herlufsholm Boarding School with an IB exam and a bi-lingual diploma award :-). I've now commenced my Bsc. in Business Administration and Sociology at Copenhagen Business School!
in November 2015 the little sister of Stærebogårds Ajour (RIP)
arrived in my stable as a new and extremely promising eventing / showjumping prospect. Her name is Stærebogårds Perfect - and we think it's a pretty darn fitting name :-).
The latest arrival is Ambiance IV aka "Benji" who came from the UK in September 2015 - another top international showjumper from Carlos Mundy / BPS Showjumpers - he is no doubt a future championship horse and we are all very excited by this fantastic opportunity.
Also in 2015 I've founded my own company - C.E. Equestrian - allowing me to use my network in the equestrian world to act as an agent and distributor of selected international, quality brands - first one being the Italian "MakeBe".
